And it came to be, when Aḇraham’s servant heard their words, that he bowed himself towards the earth before יהוה.

and said, “O my Elohim, I am too ashamed and wounded to lift up my face to You, my Elohim, for our crookednesses have risen higher than our heads, and our guilt has grown up to the heavens.

And Ḥizqiyahu turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to יהוה,

“As I live,” declares the Sovereign, whose Name is יהוה of hosts, “For as Taḇor is among the mountains, and as Karmel by the sea, he shall come.


So I set my face toward יהוה the Elohim to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.


“O יהוה, to You is the righteousness, and to us the shame of face, as it is this day – to the men of Yehuḏah, to the inhabitants of Yerushalayim and all Yisra’ĕl, those near and those far off in all the lands to which You have driven them, because of their trespass which they have trespassed against You.


And having dismissed the crowds, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray. And when evening had come, He was alone there.


And He went on a little, and fell on the ground, and was praying that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.


And in those days it came to be that He went out to the mountain to pray, and was spending the night in prayer to Elohim.


And on the next day, as they were on their way and approaching the city, Kĕpha went up on the house-top to pray, about the sixth hour.


And Yehoshua tore his garments, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of יהוה until evening, both he and the elders of Yisra’ĕl, and they put dust on their heads.


And Shemu’ĕl called to יהוה, and יהוה sent thunder and rain that day. And all the people greatly feared יהוה and Shemu’ĕl.
