And he took away the treasures of the House of יהוה and the treasures of the sovereign’s house, he even took away all. And he took away all the shields of gold which Shelomoh had made.
And Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the House of יהוה and the treasuries of the sovereign’s house, and gave them into the hand of his servants. And Sovereign Asa sent them to Ben-Haḏaḏ son of Taḇrimmon, son of Ḥezyon, sovereign of Aram, who dwelt in Dammeseq, saying,
Thus all the work which Sovereign Shelomoh had done for the House of יהוה was completed. And Shelomoh brought in the set-apart items of his father Dawiḏ: the silver and the gold and the utensils, and he put them in the treasuries of the House of יהוה.
Sovereign Dawiḏ also set these apart to יהוה, along with the silver and gold that he had brought from all these nations, from Eḏom, and from Mo’aḇ, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalĕq.
These were the divisions of the gatekeepers among the sons of Qoraḥ and among the sons of Merari.
The sons of La‛dan, the sons of the Gĕrshonites of La‛dan, heads of their fathers’ houses, of La‛dan the Gĕrshonite: Yeḥi’ĕli.
The sons of Yeḥi’ĕli, Zĕtham and Yo’ĕl his brother, were over the treasuries of the House of יהוה.
even Sheḇu’ĕl son of Gĕreshom, son of Mosheh, was overseer of the treasuries.
And they did not turn aside from the command of the sovereign to the priests and Lĕwites concerning any matter or concerning the treasuries.

And on that day some were appointed over the rooms for the stores, for the contributions, for the first-fruits, and for tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions required by the Torah for the priests and for the Lĕwites. For Yehuḏah rejoiced over the priests and the Lĕwites who stood up.
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, and let there be food in My house. And please prove Me in this,” said יהוה of hosts, “whether I do not open for you the windows of the heavens, and shall pour out for you boundless blessing!
“but they shall attend with their brothers in the Tent of Appointment, to guard the duty, but shall do no service. Thus you shall do to the Lĕwites regarding their duties.
