Therefore he said he would destroy them— had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them.
and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.

I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.”
“Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.”
And they fell on their faces, and said, “O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be angry with all the congregation?”

For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure which the Lord bore against you, so that he was ready to destroy you. But the Lord hearkened to me that time also.
