So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them.


When they heard this they were silenced. And they glorified God, saying, “Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance unto life.”


But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Greeks also, preaching the Lord Jesus.


And when they arrived, they gathered the church together and declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.


But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”


And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question.


Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren,


When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared all that God had done with them.


And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.


After this Paul stayed many days longer, and then took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila. At Cenchre-ae he cut his hair, for he had a vow.


But as for the Gentiles who have believed, we have sent a letter with our judgment that they should abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from unchastity.”


When we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left we sailed to Syria, and landed at Tyre; for there the ship was to unload its cargo.


“Claudius Lysias to his Excellency the governor Felix, greeting.


Then some of those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called), and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, arose and disputed with Stephen.


Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

If any one comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into the house or give him any greeting;
