So when Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped him of his robe, the long robe with sleeves that he wore;


Then they took Joseph's robe, slaughtered a goat, and dipped the robe in the blood.


They had the long robe with sleeves taken to their father, and they said, “This we have found; see now whether it is your son's robe or not.”


(Now she was wearing a long robe with sleeves; for this is how the virgin daughters of the king were clothed in earlier times.) So his servant put her out, and bolted the door after her.


You took some of your garments, and made for yourself colorful shrines, and on them played the whore; nothing like this has ever been or ever shall be.


The Father loves the Son and has placed all things in his hands.
