And these are the names of the sons of Levi by their kindreds: Gerson, and Caath, and Merari. And the years of the life of Levi were a hundred and thirty-seven.


The sons of Caath: Amram, and Isaar, and Hebron, and Oziel. And the years of Caath's life were a hundred and thirty-three.


The sons also of Isaar: Core, and Nepheg, and Zechri.


I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that I might be your God.


Our father died in the desert, and was not in the sedition that was raised against the Lord under Core but he died in his own sin. And he had no male children. Why is his name taken away out of his family, because he had no son? Give us a possession among the kinsmen of our father.


And to Dathan and Abiron the sons of Eliab, who was the son of Ruben: Whom the earth, opening her mouth swallowed up with their households and tents, and all their substance, which they had in the midst of Israel.


Woe unto them, for they have gone in the way of Cain: and after the error of Balaam they have for reward poured out themselves, and have perished in the contradiction of Core.
