What age will everyone be in Heaven?

Response

The Bible does not specifically address this question. Will infants and children who pass away still be infants/children in Heaven? What about elderly individuals who pass away—do they remain elderly in heaven? Some have speculated that infants receive a resurrected body (1 Corinthians 15:35-49) that is “fast-forwarded” to the “ideal age,” just as those who pass away at an old age are “re-wound” to the ideal age. This suggests that there will not be any children or elderly individuals in heaven.

What constitutes the ideal age? Once again, this concept is not explicitly biblical. Some believe it to be around 30. Others speculate 33 since that is roughly the age Jesus was when He died. First John 3:2 proclaims, “Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.”

One thing is certain. Regardless of the age we appear to be, we will be gloriously perfect. Our entire being will be transformed flawlessly, entirely and entirely Christ-like. We will shed all remnants of human imperfection, adorned in the white garments of purity, holiness, and absolute perfection. Therefore, whatever age we are, it will be the age of complete and absolute perfection.
