Recently, Rabbi Alon Anava of Tzfat shared a calculation that he says reveals a significant window of opportunity for the imminent coming of the Messiah and how people should prepare.
This was made known through a 50-minute conference called “Is the end of the world near? Torah secret that reveals what’s coming!
It was published on YouTube, and so far, it has accumulated more than 41,000 views.
First of all, Anava addresses the common misunderstanding that many have about the coming of the Messiah; Although years ago this seemed a long way off, “now we are closer.”
The rabbi used the Hebrew spelling to explain his point of view; and according to him, Adam, King David and the Messiah are the same soul, because he believes in the mystical teaching that they reincarnate.
David’s role, in this case, is to connect Adam with the beginning of the story and Messiah with the end; teaching the fact that David takes the intermediate position between the two.

This concept is the basis of the mathematical calculation he presented. In year 0, Adam was born. David was born in the Hebrew year 2854. Since King David is the middle position between Adam and the Messiah, doubling the year of his birth should “reveal the coming of the Messiah.”
Multiplying David’s year of birth by two gives 5708, which was 1948 on the Gregorian calendar. Obviously, the Messiah did not come in 1948, but something significant happened .
In that year, 1948, Israel declared its independence on May 14. In Jewish liturgy, the State of Israel is known as reishit tzemichat geuulatenu (the first flowering of our redemption).
Anava clarified that Pastor David may have been born in 2854, but did not become king until 37 years later.
In the year 2891, at the age of 37, David became the king of Israel, ruling the 12 tribes and all of Israel (2 Samuel 5:3).
Again, the rabbi pointed out that if David is the middle point between Adam and the Messiah and he became king of Israel in the Hebrew year 2891, doubling this gives 5782. The current Hebrew year, 5781, began on Rosh Hashanah, September 18th.
According to the rabbi and his calculation, the Messiah should arrive between September 6 and 7, 2021; less than a year from now.

Finally, Anava reported that the coming date of the Messiah was not the most important thing in itself, but rather, how people was getting ready for that day.
Of course, no human being knows the date of the second coming of Christ, since the Bible says so. But it is also important to take into account the importance of living prepared for this event every day, watching our steps and being attentive to the signs.
