Professional baseball player believes “God’s always got a plan” and delivers powerful message

During a national TV interview on Saturday after Game 4 of the World Series, Dansby Swanson shared his belief saying “God’s always got a plan” and delivered a powerful message.

Dansby Swanson, Atlanta Braves shortstop.

The shortstop who helped lead the Atlanta Braves to victories on Saturday and Sunday, took advantage of the opportunity to express his gratitude for being able to play the game and publicly shared his faith by crediting God, expressing our need to place trust in Him.

“I’m just so thankful to be here. I really can’t say it enough. Being traded over here — at the time, I didn’t understand it. But God’s always got a plan. And if I’ve learned one thing is having faith in that plan will never fail you. And it’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to me,” he told Fox TV.

Reports show that Swanson is not intimidated by cameras when talking about his faith. He was quoted talking about his Christian family roots and the habit of going to church on Sundays.

In a past interview with the “That Sounds Fun Podcast,” he said when talking about a failure and a time in 2017, when he didn’t measure up to expectations, that: “When everything is going good, you don’t make any adjustments. Failure teaches you so much. We talk about God’s timing is everything. There’s so many things I can start to list out that ‘His timing is everything’ and me struggling last year was one of them. Last year was miserable.”

Before being traded, Atlanta Braves shortstop was initially with the Arizona Diamondbacks which was a move that left him confused until he understood the importance of trusting in God’s plan.
