‘One-of-a-Kind’: MLB Pitcher Shares Faith Through ‘Bible Glove’

One of the Major League Baseball pitchers is sharing his Christian faith in a truly unique way: through his baseball glove.

‘One-of-a-Kind’: MLB Pitcher Shares Faith Through ‘Bible Glove’.

Luke Weaver made his debut in the Major Leagues this season with the Arizona Diamondbacks before being traded for Emmanuel Rivera to the Kansas City Royals, and although he has had injuries that has not prevented him from having a great performance during the games being considered as “the one with the fast ball”.

The fact of sharing his faith in a different way made him really special and unique, because his baseball glove was designed to look like the binding of an old leather Bible. It features a cross, a crown of thorns, the phrase “His Glory,” and his favorite Bible verses. Aria calls it a “truly one-of-a-kind glove”; and the company decided to sell more of them.

Weaver expressed that in the midst of this time and his passion for the sport, he wants to carry a message of hope through his glove, so that everyone knows how much faith helps him achieve success in baseball.

«It’s just a way where I want to be able to show the world that in the midst of that battle and the competition and the personality and expression, this is what I choose to do,» Weaver told Sports Spectrum.

«In doing this, I hope more kids can wear a glove like I’m wearing and to wear it in their travel ball and their Little Leagues and their high schools and their colleges, to one day just be like, ‘Hey, I’m using a glove that helps me play this game, but I’m also expressing who I am, and I love every second of it.’ If someone wants to ask about it, guess what: Now we get to talk about it,» he added.

According to Sports Spectrum, the glove includes three Bible verses:

It is that same faith that has made him stand out throughout the season with a brilliant personality and brilliant game tactics. That attitude has made him get the most positive reactions from the elders in the Major Leagues.

«There did seem to be another gear when he was throwing out of the bullpen. And then when you add in his breaking ball and changeup, it’s a pretty good arsenal. The other thing that really stood out is he commands the ball really well. Low walk rate, and I think he’ll complement what we’re trying to do in the ‘pen very well,» said Royals general manager J.J. Picollo

Glory to God for those ones who in this time are deciding to stand up to proclaim their faith openly to exalt the Lord so that with their testimony others can know how good and faithful the Father is.
