The last decision was made by the pope despite the fact that many bishops and other Catholic religious have come together to express their desire of not letting Biden receive this sacrament because he is in favor of abortion.

According to the president, Francis told him that “he was happy that I was a good Catholic and I should keep receiving Communion,” Biden said.
