And it came to pass after this that David defeated the Philistines, and brought them down. And David took the bridle of tribute out of the hand of the Philistines.
And thou hast begun to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be always before thee: for seeing thou blessest it, O Lord, it shall be blessed for ever.
Incline your ear and come to me. Hear and your soul shall live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the faithful mercies of David.
