The way of the slothful is like a hedge of thorns. The way of the just is without offense.


Laziness sends one into a deep sleep, and a dissolute soul will go hungry.


The lazy one says: "There is a lion outside. I might be slain in the midst of the streets."


Go to the ant, you lazy one, and consider her ways, and so learn wisdom.


And so, being afraid, I went out and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.'
