And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.


And he said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.


But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!


And he said to them, "When I sent you out with no moneybag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing."


And he answered them, "Whoever has two tunics[2] is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise."


And Levi made him a great feast in his house, and there was a large company of tax collectors and others reclining at table with them.


And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.


No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.
