Proverbs 17:5
13 Mga Krus na Reperensya

“If I have rejoiced at the ruin of those who hated me, or exulted when evil overtook them—

It is zeal for your house that has consumed me; the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.

Those who despise their neighbors are sinners, but happy are those who are kind to the poor.

Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but those who are kind to the needy honor him.

All those who are arrogant are an abomination to the Lord; be assured, they will not go unpunished.

But I have not run away from being a shepherd in your service, nor have I desired the fatal day. You know what came from my lips; it was before your face.

Say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord God: Thus says the Lord God, Because you said, “Aha!” over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of Judah when it went into exile;

For the slaughter and violence done to your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever.

For as you have drunk on my holy mountain, all the nations around you shall drink; they shall drink and gulp down, and shall be as though they had never been.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.

How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?
