how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, one who drinks iniquity like water!


“How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?


Doing wrong is like sport to a fool, but wise conduct is pleasure to a person of understanding.


Crooked minds are an abomination to the Lord, but those of blameless ways are his delight.


The good obtain favor from the Lord, but those who devise evil he condemns.


Good sense wins favor, but the way of the faithless is their ruin.


Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he shows favor.


So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and of people.


This is the way of an adulteress: she eats, and wipes her mouth, and says, “I have done no wrong.”


For whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord;


But if you cannot afford a sheep, you shall bring to the Lord, as your penalty for the sin that you have committed, two turtledoves or two pigeons, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.
