who alone stretched out the heavens and trampled the waves of the Sea;


you set the beams of your chambers on the waters, you make the clouds your chariot, you ride on the wings of the wind,


But understand this: if the owner of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.


Therefore, keep awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or at dawn,


When he saw that they were straining at the oars against an adverse wind, he came towards them early in the morning, walking on the sea. He intended to pass them by.


If he comes during the middle of the night, or near dawn, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.


When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were terrified.


He held a little scroll open in his hand. Setting his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,


Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and the land raised his right hand to heaven


Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the scroll that is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”
