This is the testimony given by John when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”


And John testified, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him.


And I myself have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God.”


The Jews who were with her in the house, consoling her, saw Mary get up quickly and go out. They followed her because they thought that she was going to the tomb to weep there.


I knew that you always hear me, but I have said this for the sake of the crowd standing here, so that they may believe that you sent me.”


When the great crowd of the Jews learned that he was there, they came not only because of Jesus but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.


(He who saw this has testified so that you also may believe. His testimony is true, and he knows that he tells the truth.)


This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them, and we know that his testimony is true.


beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us—one of these must become a witness with us to his resurrection.”


And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”
