He leads priests away stripped, and overthrows the mighty.


Will you show partiality toward him, will you plead the case for God?


because I stood in great fear of the multitude, and the contempt of families terrified me, so that I kept silence, and did not go out of doors—


The earth is given into the hand of the wicked; he covers the eyes of its judges— if it is not he, who then is it?


On every side the wicked prowl, as vileness is exalted among humankind.


captain of fifty and dignitary, counselor and skillful magician and expert enchanter.


elders and dignitaries are the head, and prophets who teach lies are the tail;


Their hands are skilled to do evil; the official and the judge ask for a bribe, and the powerful dictate what they desire; thus they pervert justice.
