Jeremiah 7:16
14 Mga Krus na Reperensya

Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were priests.

Now let me alone, so that my wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them; and of you I will make a great nation.”

When you stretch out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.

As for you, do not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer on their behalf, for I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their trouble.

Then the Lord said to me: Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my heart would not turn toward this people. Send them out of my sight, and let them go!

You have rejected me, says the Lord, you are going backward; so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you— I am weary of relenting.

Is evil a recompense for good? Yet they have dug a pit for my life. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.

Because of this the earth shall mourn, and the heavens above grow black; for I have spoken, I have purposed; I have not relented nor will I turn back.

Do you not see what they are doing in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Then they will cry to the Lord, but he will not answer them; he will hide his face from them at that time, because they have acted wickedly.

Let me alone that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven; and I will make of you a nation mightier and more numerous than they.”

If you see your brother or sister committing what is not a mortal sin, you will ask, and God will give life to such a one—to those whose sin is not mortal. There is sin that is mortal; I do not say that you should pray about that.
