The king said to the man of God, “Entreat now the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, so that my hand may be restored to me.” So the man of God entreated the Lord; and the king's hand was restored to him, and became as it was before.


he pours contempt on princes and makes them wander in trackless wastes;


Do forgive my sin just this once, and pray to the Lord your God that at the least he remove this deadly thing from me.”


The Lord did so, and great swarms of flies came into the house of Pharaoh and into his officials' houses; in all of Egypt the land was ruined because of the flies.


The river shall swarm with frogs; they shall come up into your palace, into your bedchamber and your bed, and into the houses of your officials and of your people, and into your ovens and your kneading bowls.


And the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, the canals, and the pools, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’ ”


Pray to the Lord! Enough of God's thunder and hail! I will let you go; you need stay no longer.”


The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the wise counselors of Pharaoh give stupid counsel. How can you say to Pharaoh, “I am one of the sages, a descendant of ancient kings”?


The Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing; they will return to the Lord, and he will listen to their supplications and heal them.


The Lord of hosts has planned it— to defile the pride of all glory, to shame all the honored of the earth.


Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth, and his ways are justice; and he is able to bring low those who walk in pride.
