But a stupid person will get understanding, when a wild ass is born human.


For you write bitter things against me, and make me reap the iniquities of my youth.


Their bodies, once full of youth, will lie down in the dust with them.


Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for your goodness' sake, O Lord!


You have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing in your sight. Surely everyone stands as a mere breath. Selah


Surely everyone goes about like a shadow. Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; they heap up, and do not know who will gather.


Folly is bound up in the heart of a boy, but the rod of discipline drives it far away.


I saw all the deeds that are done under the sun; and see, all is vanity and a chasing after wind.


Vanity of vanities, says the Teacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.


Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;


Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.


Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
