Toi sent his son Joram to King David, to greet him and to congratulate him because he had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him. Now Hadadezer had often been at war with Toi. Joram brought with him articles of silver, gold, and bronze;


Jehu met relatives of King Ahaziah of Judah and said, “Who are you?” They answered, “We are kin of Ahaziah; we have come down to visit the royal princes and the sons of the queen mother.”


And they began saluting him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”


Three days after Festus had arrived in the province, he went up from Caesarea to Jerusalem


Then Festus, after he had conferred with his council, replied, “You have appealed to the emperor; to the emperor you will go.”


Festus replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea, and that he himself intended to go there shortly.


Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and began to defend himself:


But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he was passing through the region, he proclaimed the good news to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.


As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, Samuel arrived; and Saul went out to meet him and salute him.


But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, “David sent messengers out of the wilderness to salute our master; and he shouted insults at them.
