Human wrath serves only to praise you, when you bind the last bit of your wrath around you.


Do you not fear me? says the Lord; Do you not tremble before me? I placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass; though the waves toss, they cannot prevail, though they roar, they cannot pass over it.


When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you are to defend yourselves or what you are to say;


He brought them up into the house and set food before them; and he and his entire household rejoiced that he had become a believer in God.


And the jailer reported the message to Paul, saying, “The magistrates sent word to let you go; therefore come out now and go in peace.”


The police reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Roman citizens;


After threatening them again, they let them go, finding no way to punish them because of the people, for all of them praised God for what had happened.


and when they had called in the apostles, they had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.


Joshua therefore commanded the priests, “Come up out of the Jordan.”
