He answered, “My lord, O king, my servant deceived me; for your servant said to him, ‘Saddle a donkey for me, so that I may ride on it and go with the king.’ For your servant is lame.


Their father said to them, “Which way did he go?” And his sons showed him the way that the man of God who came from Judah had gone.


He went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak tree. He said to him, “Are you the man of God who came from Judah?” He answered, “I am.”


Then he said to his sons, “Saddle a donkey for me.” So they saddled one,


So Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey, and went with the officials of Moab.
