As he drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging.


The neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar were saying, “Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?”


and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.


And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God.


Now at Lystra there was a man sitting who could not use his feet. He was crippled from birth and had never walked.


and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.


For the man on whom this sign of healing was performed was more than forty years old.
