9 Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty men with his fifty. He went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him, “O man of God, the king says, ‘Come down.’”

From there he went on to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.


So she set out and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her coming, he said to Gehazi his servant, “Look, there is the Shunammite.

Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe.” Those who were crucified with him also reviled him.


And when his disciples James and John saw it, they said, “Lord, do you want us to tell fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”


Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.


When it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.
