Then he released Barabbas to them; and having scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.


For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.


so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities, and bore our diseases."


So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered up Jesus, after he had Him flogged, so that He might be crucified.


"The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;


The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!


So then Pilate took Jesus and flogged Him.


But in every nation, he that fears Him and works righteousness is acceptable to Him.


And we are witnesses of all things which He did, both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they also killed by hanging on a tree.


And when they finished all the things having been written about Him, taking Him down from the tree, they put Him in a tomb.


The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you murdered by hanging upon a cross.


Likewise you also, consider yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.


nor present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.


Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to whom you obey, whether of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?


Certainly not! We died to sin--How shall we live any longer in it?


But now having been freed from sin, and having become enslaved to God, you have your fruit resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.


For he who has died has been justified from sin.


But now we were released from the law, having died in that to which we were held fast, so that we should serve as slaves in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.


For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,


Therefore "Come out from the midst of them and be separated," says the Lord. "Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you."


Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"


for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth,


having been filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.


having blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and He has taken it out of the midst, nailing it to the cross.


If you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you submit to regulations--


For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.


By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.


Therefore, when He entered into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.


and make straight paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be turned aside, but rather be healed.


For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;


so also Christ having been offered once in order to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time apart from sin for salvation, to those eagerly waiting for Him.


Confess your transgressions to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of the righteous is very powerful.


If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of Him.


Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.


In the middle of its street, and on both sides of the river was the tree of life, producing twelve fruits, each yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
