Alleluia. I will confess to you, O Lord, with my whole heart, in the council of the just and in the congregation.


While he was still speaking to the crowds, behold, his mother and his brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak with him.


But John refused him, saying, "I ought to be baptized by you, and yet you come to me?"


And she cried out with a loud voice and said: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.


For behold, as the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.


For today a Saviour has been born for you in the city of David: he is Christ the Lord.


Because of this, I also did not consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant shall be healed.


You call me Teacher and Lord, and you speak well: for so I am.


Thomas responded and said to him, "My Lord and my God."


Let nothing be done by contention, nor in vain glory. Instead, in humility, let each of you esteem others to be better than himself.
