He answered and said to them, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God on account of your tradition?


Now when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with ceremonially unclean, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault.


Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but they eat bread with unwashed hands?"


And when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that He had not first washed before the meal.


And I was advancing in Judaism above many my own age, being far more zealous for the traditions of my forefathers.


Beware lest anyone captures you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
