While the King sitteth at his table, My spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.


I rose up to open to my beloved; And my hands dropped with myrrh, And my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, Upon the handles of the lock.


And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.


And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.


But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.


And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?


(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
