3 They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron and said to them, “You have gone too far! For all in the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?”

When men in the camp were jealous of Moses and Aaron, the holy one of the Lord,


The chariots of God are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them; Sinai is now in the sanctuary.


and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”


and they will tell the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you, O Lord, are in the midst of this people. For you, O Lord, are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.


Therefore it is against the Lord that you and all your company have gathered together. What is Aaron that you grumble against him?”


But on the next day all the congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and against Aaron, saying, “You have killed the people of the Lord.”
