May God give you of the dew of heaven and of the fatness of the earth and plenty of grain and wine.


Esau said, “Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has cheated me these two times. He took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing.” Then he said, “Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”


Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord, but the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”


and said to them, “We, as far as we are able, have bought back our Jewish brothers who have been sold to the nations, but you even sell your brothers that they may be sold to us!” They were silent and could not find a word to say.


but every slave that is bought for money may eat of it after you have circumcised him.


If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him.


“When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do.


but if the sun has risen on him, there shall be bloodguilt for him. He shall surely pay. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.


And if he is not redeemed by these means, then he and his children with him shall be released in the year of jubilee.


And since he could not pay, his master ordered him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made.


for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.


“At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release.


It shall not seem hard to you when you let him go free from you, for at half the cost of a hired worker he has served you six years. So the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do.
