Toi sent his son Joram to King David, to ask about his health and to bless him because he had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him, for Hadadezer had often been at war with Toi. And Joram brought with him articles of silver, of gold, and of bronze.


Jehu met the relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah, and he said, “Who are you?” And they answered, “We are the relatives of Ahaziah, and we came down to visit the royal princes and the sons of the queen mother.”


And they began to salute him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”


Now three days after Festus had arrived in the province, he went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.


Then Festus, when he had conferred with his council, answered, “To Caesar you have appealed; to Caesar you shall go.”


Festus replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea and that he himself intended to go there shortly.


So Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defense:


But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he preached the gospel to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.


As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came. And Saul went out to meet him and greet him.


But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal’s wife, “Behold, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to greet our master, and he railed at them.
