Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. So Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them.


and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.


and from there to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of Macedonia and a Roman colony. We remained in this city some days.


And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”


Now after these events Paul resolved in the Spirit to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”


But Paul went down and bent over him, and taking him in his arms, said, “Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him.”


When he had gone through those regions and had given them much encouragement, he came to Greece.


There he spent three months, and when a plot was made against him by the Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he decided to return through Macedonia.


And there was much weeping on the part of all; they embraced Paul and kissed him,


by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God—so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ;


Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.


All the brothers send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.


I will visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia,

For even when we came into Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were afflicted at every turn—fighting without and fear within.

As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine,
