15 And when he departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. And he greeted him and said to him, “Is your heart true to my heart as mine is to yours?” And Jehonadab answered, “It is.” Jehu said, “If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand. Early in the morning Laban arose and kissed his grandchildren and his daughters and blessed them. Then Laban departed and returned home.


And Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.


Then Joseph brought in Jacob his father and stood him before Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.


Now the men were watching for a sign, and they quickly took it up from him and said, “Yes, your brother Ben-hadad.” Then he said, “Go and bring him.” Then Ben-hadad came out to him, and he caused him to come up into the chariot.


Jehu met the relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah, and he said, “Who are you?” And they answered, “We are the relatives of Ahaziah, and we came down to visit the royal princes and the sons of the queen mother.”

They pledged themselves to put away their wives, and their guilt offering was a ram of the flock for their guilt.


Malchijah the son of Rechab, ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem, repaired the Dung Gate. He rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.


Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers?

He despised the oath in breaking the covenant, and behold, he gave his hand and did all these things; he shall not escape.

Brothers, I entreat you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You did me no wrong.
