The wicked are alienated from the womb; they have gone astray from the womb: they have spoken false things.


And Moses said: This is the word, which the Lord hath commanded: Fill a gomor of it, and let it be kept unto generations to come hereafter, that they may know the bread, wherewith I fed you in the wilderness, when you were brought forth out of the land of Egypt.


As the Lord commanded Moses. And Aaron put it in the tabernacle to be kept.


Hear, O ye heavens, and give ear, O earth, for the Lord hath spoken. I have brought up children, and exalted them: but they have despised me.


From the days of Gabaa, Israel hath sinned, there they stood: the battle in Gabaa against the children of iniquity shall not overtake them.


And when Moses and Aaron heard this, they fell down flat upon the ground before the multitude of the children of Israel.


Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may presently destroy them.


In the deaths of the sinners. And let him beat them into plates, and fasten them to the altar, because incense hath been offered in them to the Lord, and they are sanctified: that the children of Israel may see them for a sign and a memorial.


That the children of Israel might have for the time to come wherewith they should be admonished, that no stranger or any one that is not of seed of Aaron should come near to offer incense to the Lord: lest he should suffer as Core suffered, and all his congregation: according as the Lord spoke to Moses.


And Moses did as the Lord had commanded.


And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the covenant before the testimony, where I will speak to thee.


Moses therefore brought out all the rods from before the Lord to all the children of Israel. And they saw, and every one received their rods.


Moses therefore took the rod, which was before the Lord, as he had commanded him,


Destroy not the people of Caath from the midst of the Levites.


Neither do you murmur: as some of them murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.


Let no man deceive you with vain words. For because of these things cometh the anger of God upon the children of unbelief.


But were always rebellious from the day that I began to know you.


Remember, and forget not how thou provokedst the Lord thy God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that thou camest out of Egypt unto this place, thou hast always strove against the Lord.


Having a golden censer, and the ark of the testament covered about on every part with gold, in which was a golden pot that had manna, and the rod of Aaron, that had blossomed, and the tables of the testament.


Now the sons of Heli were children of Belial, not knowing the Lord,


Then all the wicked and unjust men that had gone with David answering, said: Because they came not with us, we will not give them any thing of the prey which we have recovered. But let every man take his wife and his children, and be contented with them, and go his way.
