And of thy sons also that shall issue from thee, whom thou shalt beget, they shall take away: and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.


And a breach was made into the city: and all the men of war fled in the night between the two walls by the king's garden (now the Chaldees besieged the city round about). And Sedecias fled by the way that leadeth to the plains of the wilderness.


Therefore he brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of the Assyrians. And they took Manasses, and carried him bound with chains and fetters to Babylon.


Whosoever escaped the sword, was led into Babylon: and there served the king and his sons till the reign of the king of Persia.


Thus saith Cyrus king of the Persians: All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord the God of heaven given to me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judea. Who is there among you of all his people? The Lord his God be with him, and let him go up.
