And the Lord shall return his blood upon his own head, because he murdered two men, just and better than himself; and slew them with the sword, my father David not knowing it: Abner the son of Ner, general of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, general of the army of Juda.


But Levi and Benjamin he did not number: for Joab unwillingly executed the king's orders.


For they shall shortly wither away as grass, and as the green herbs shall quickly fall.


The heart is perverse above all things and unsearchable. Who can know it?


Because he considereth and turneth away himself from all his iniquities which he hath wrought, he shall surely live and not die.


JUDGE not, that you may not be judged,


And they had a few little fishes; and he blessed them, and commanded them to be set before them.


The disciple is not above his master: but every one shall be perfect, if he be as his master.


Or how canst thou say to thy brother: Brother, let me pull the mote out of thy eye, when thou thyself seest not the beam in thy own eye? Hypocrite, cast first the beam out of thy own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to take out the mote from thy brother's eye.


When therefore they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said to them: He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.


WHEREFORE thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest. For wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself. For thou dost the same things which thou judgest.


For he beheld himself, and went his way, and presently forgot what manner of man he was.
