Let thy father, and thy mother be joyful, and let her rejoice that bore thee.


And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.


And she cried out with a loud voice, and said: Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.


Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.


Then he goeth and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering in they dwell there. And the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.


For behold, the days shall come, wherein they will say: Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that have not borne, and the paps that have not given suck.
