Hosea 2:4
17 Marejeleo ya Msalaba

And when Joram saw Jehu, he said: Is there peace, Jehu? And he answered: What peace? So long as the fornications of Jezabel thy mother, and her many sorceries are in their vigour.

Its harvest shall be destroyed with drought, women shall come and teach it: for it is not a wise people. Therefore he that made it shall not have mercy on it: and he that formed it shall not spare it.

THUS saith the Lord: What is this bill of the divorce of your mother, with which I have put her away? Or who is my creditor, to whom I sold you? Behold, you are sold for your iniquities: and for your wicked deeds have I put your mother away.

But draw near hither, you, sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and of the harlot.

And I will scatter them every man from his brother, and fathers and sons in like manner, saith the Lord. I will not spare and I will not pardon: nor will I have mercy not to destroy them.

For thus saith the Lord: Enter not into the house of feasting, neither go thou to mourn, nor to comfort them: because I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the Lord, my mercy and commiserations.

And I will set my jealousy against thee, which they shall execute upon thee with fury. They shall cut off thy nose and thy ears: and what remains shall fall by the sword. They shall take thy sons and thy daughters, and thy residue shall be devoured by fire.

Therefore I also will deal with them in my wrath: my eye shall not spare them, neither will I shew mercy: and when they shall cry to my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

Therefore neither shall my eye spare nor will I have pity: I will requite their way upon their head.

The beginning of the Lord's speaking by Osse: and the Lord said to Osee: Go, take thee a wife of fornications, and have of her children of fornications: for the land by fornication shall depart from the Lord.

And she conceived again, and bore a daughter, and he said to him: Call her name, Without mercy: for I will not add any more to have mercy on the house of Israel, but I will utterly forget them.

They have transgressed against the Lord, for they have begotten children that are strangers: now shall a month devour them with their portions.

And the angel of the Lord answered, and said: O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Juda, with which thou hast been angry? this is now the seventieth year.

You do the works of your father. They said therefore to him: We are not born of fornication: we have one Father, even God.

See then the goodness and the severity of God: towards them indeed that are fallen, the severity; but towards thee, the goodness of God, if thou abide in goodness, otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Therefore he hath mercy on whom he will; and whom he will, he hardeneth.

For judgment without mercy to him that hath not done mercy. And mercy exalteth itself above judgment.
