Proverbs 1:22
34 Marejeleo ya Msalaba

What man is there that is like Job, who drinks up derision as if it were water,

Blessed is the man who has not followed the counsel of the impious, and has not remained in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the chair of pestilence.

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts:

Therefore, Moses and Aaron entered to Pharaoh, and they said to him: "Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: How long will you be unwilling to be subject to me? Release my people to sacrifice to me.

Then the Lord said to Moses: "How long will you be unwilling to keep my commandments and my law?

She cries out at the head of crowds; at the entrance of the gates of the city, she offers her words, saying:

For they held hatred for discipline, and they would not accept the fear of the Lord;

The loathing of the little ones shall destroy them, and the prosperity of the foolish shall perish them.

so as to give discernment to little ones, knowledge and understanding to adolescents.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The foolish despise wisdom as well as doctrine.

A mocker seeks wisdom and does not find it. The doctrine of the prudent is accessible.

He who corrupts himself does not love the one who afflicts him, nor will he step toward the wise.

Judgments are prepared for those who ridicule. And striking hammers are prepared for the bodies of the foolish.

When the pestilent is punished, a little one will become wiser. And if he pursues what is wise, he will receive knowledge.

A proud and arrogant one is also called ignorant, if he, in anger, acts according to pride.

The clever saw evil and hid himself. The innocent continued on and was afflicted with damage.

He will ridicule those who ridicule, but he will bestow grace upon the mild.

"Why have I detested discipline, and why has my heart not been quieted by correction?

How long will you slumber, you lazy one? When will you rise up from your sleep?

and I see little ones. I consider a frenzied youth,

O little ones, understand discernment. And you who are unwise, turn your souls.

For I have seen your adulteries, and your neighing for the wickedness of your fornication, and your abominations upon the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! How much longer before you will be made clean after me?"

Wash your heart from malice, O Jerusalem, so that you may be saved. How long will harmful thoughts abide in you?

"How long will this very wicked multitude murmur against me? I have heard the complaints of the sons of Israel.

And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon went out of him, and the boy was cured from that hour.

Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You kill the prophets and stone those who have been sent to you. How often I have wanted to gather your children together, in the way that a hen gathers her young under her wings. But you were not willing!

So then, go out and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the just, but sinners."

"If only you had known, indeed even in this your day, which things are for your peace. But now they are hidden from your eyes.

For everyone who does evil hates the Light and does not go toward the Light, so that his works may not be corrected.

Know this first: that in the last days there will arrive deceitful mockers, walking according to their own desires,

And the Spirit and the Bride say: "Draw near." And whoever hears, let him say: "Draw near." And whoever thirsts, let him draw near. And whoever is willing, let him accept the water of life, freely.
