When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him,


Now a centurion had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him.


And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to have you do this for him,


And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue. And falling at Jesus’ feet, he implored him to come to his house,


And behold, a man from the crowd cried out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.


When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.


I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I became in my imprisonment.
