For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.


And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father had done.


And he walked in all the sins that his father did before him, and his heart was not wholly true to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father.


Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father, only he sacrificed and made offerings at the high places.


And Jehoash did what was right in the eyes of the Lord all his days, because Jehoiada the priest instructed him.


He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jehoaddin of Jerusalem.


But the high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and made offerings on the high places.


And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that David his father had done.

Now after the death of Jehoiada the princes of Judah came and paid homage to the king. Then the king listened to them.
