Wisdom is with the aged ones, in length of days understanding.


They will still bear fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,


Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness.


“No more will there be an infant who only lives a few days, nor an old man who has not filled his days; for the child will die one hundred years old, and the sinner being one hundred years old will be accursed.


“‘You are to rise up in the presence of the gray head and honor the face of the elderly. You are to fear your God. I am YHWH.


They came to Jesus, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, the very one who had the “legion.” They were terrified.


So the people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’s feet, dressed and in his right mind—and they were afraid.


As he discussed righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix became afraid and said, “Go away for now! When I have an open time, I’ll send for you.”


For through the grace that was given me I say to every one of y’all: do not think of yourself more highly than y’all should. Instead y’all should think with sound judgment, as God has apportioned a measure of faith to each person.


Y’all need to sober up and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to y’all’s shame.


Everyone who strives in the games exercises self-control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an incorruptible one.


For if we are out of our minds, it is for God. And if we are in our right mind, it is for y’all.


gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.


Finally, siblings, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is virtuous or praiseworthy, y’all should contemplate such things.


So then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.


But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of the hope of salvation.


for the sexually immoral, for practicing homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,


The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

In everything show yourself to be an example of excellent works. In teaching, show integrity, dignity,


I would rather appeal to you on the basis of love. I, Paul, as an old man and also a prisoner of Jesus Christ,


Therefore, tightening a belt around y’all’s thoughts and being fully sober-minded, set your* hope fully on the grace that will be brought to y’all at the revelation of Jesus Christ.


The end of all things is near. Therefore y’all are to be self-controlled and sober-minded for prayer.


Y’all be sober-minded and alert. Y’all’s adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
