Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to YHWH, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,


You are YHWH, even you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their army, the earth and all things that are on it, the seas and all that is in them, and you preserve them all. The army of heaven worships you.


Happy is the one who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in YHWH, his God,


For in six days YHWH made heaven and land, the sea, and all that is in them, and ʜᴇ rested the seventh day. Therefore YHWH blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.


I will bring y’all into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to y’all for a heritage: I am YHWH.’”


Moreover also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands,


Moreover I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries,


For when I had brought them into the land which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There they also made their pleasant aroma, and there they poured out their drink offerings.


Y’all will know that I am YHWH when I bring y’all into the land of Israel, into the land which I swore to give to y’all’s ancestors.


Tell them, ‘Lord YHWH says: “In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the descendants of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, ‘I am YHWH y’all’s God;’


Therefore Lord YHWH says: “I swear that the nations around y’all will bear their shame.


Y’all must divide it, each equally for the other as I swore to give it to your* ancestors. This land will fall to y’all as an inheritance.


I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it will be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have finished breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.


“Men, why are y’all doing these things? We are only human, just like y’all. We are bringing y’all good news, so that y’all will turn from these worthless things toward the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and everything in them.


For while I walked around and observed y’all’s objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: ‘to an unknown god.’ Therefore, what y’all worship in ignorance, this I am proclaim to y’all.


For since the creation of the world ʜɪꜱ invisible attributes—ʜɪꜱ everlasting power and divinity—have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that people are without excuse.


For I lift up my hand to heaven and declare, as I live forever,


For when God made a promise to Abraham, since ʜᴇ could swear by no one greater, ʜᴇ swore by ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ,


and the Living One. I was dead, but look! I am alive forever and ever, and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.


He had in his hand a little scroll which was open. He set his right foot on the sea and his left on the land.


He said with a loud voice, “Y’all fear God and give ʜɪᴍ glory, for the hour of ʜɪꜱ judgment has come. Y’all worship ʜɪᴍ who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and the springs of waters!”


Then the seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud sound came out of the temple from the throne, saying, “It is done!”


“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive the glory, the honor, and power, since you created all things, and through your will, they existed and were created!”


When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the one who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever,
