How sweet are your promises to my taste, more than honey to my mouth!


They are to be desired more than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.


Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.


He spread it before me. It was written within and without; and lamentations, mourning, and woe were written in it.


So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; and YHWH’s hand was strong on me.


He said to me, “Son of humanity, eat this scroll that I give you and fill your belly and your bowels with it.” Then I ate it. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth.


Then they told me, “You must prophesy again over many peoples, ethnic groups, tongues, and kings.”


I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.”
