David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name, even the name of YHWH Almighty who sits above the cherubim.


Hezekiah prayed before YHWH, and said, “YHWH, the God of Israel, who are enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.


Is it good to you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and smile on the counsel of the wicked?


My heart overflows with a noble theme. I recite my verses for the king. My tongue is like the pen of a skillful writer.


Open your ear to my words, YHWH. Consider my lament.


The Mighty God, YHWH, speaks, and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.


Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines out.


Listen to my prayer, God. Don’t hide yourself from my supplication.


God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. You have been angry. Restore us, again.


Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck!


You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.


But ʜᴇ led out ʜɪꜱ own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.


Moreover he rejected the tent of Joseph, and didn’t choose the tribe of Ephraim,


Turn us again, YHWH God of Armies. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.

YHWH reigns! Let the nations tremble. Hᴇ sits enthroned between the cherubim. Let the earth shake!


Hᴇ tends ʜɪꜱ flock like a shepherd. Hᴇ gather the lambs in ʜɪꜱ arm, and carries them against ʜɪꜱ chest. Hᴇ gently leads those who are nursing.


“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and YHWH’s glory has risen on you!


Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, “Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit among them?”


As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. The fire went up and down among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and lightning went out of the fire.


YHWH’s glory mounted up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of YHWH’s glory.


I will set up one shepherd over them, and he will feed them, even my servant David. He will feed them, and he will be their shepherd.


I saw the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth was illuminated with his glory.


“Now therefore, our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his petitions, and cause your face to shine on your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.


I am the beautiful shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own;


He said, “YHWH came from Sinai, and rose from Seir to them. He shone from Mount Paran. He came from the ten thousands of holy ones. At ʜɪꜱ right hand was a fiery law for them.


Now may the God of peace, who with the blood of the eternal covenant brought up from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus,


For y’all were “like sheep going astray,” but now y’all have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of y’all’s souls.


When the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that never fades away.


The city has no need for the sun or moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminates it and its lamp is the Lamb.


So the people sent to Shiloh, and they brought from there the ark of the covenant of YHWH Almighty, who sits above the cherubim; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
