The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, ‘One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God,


Yes, no one who waits for you will be shamed. They will be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.


Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.


Let the assembly of peoples surround you. Return to your place on high over them.


Praise be to YHWH God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.


Kings will be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am YHWH, and those who wait for me will not be disappointed.”


The God of this people Israel chose our ancestors. Hᴇ made them prosper during their stay as foreigners in the land of Egypt, and ʜᴇ led them out of it and with an uplifted arm.


From this man’s descendants, God has brought the Savior Jesus to Israel, just as he promised.
