God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.


He wanders abroad for bread, saying, ‘Where is it?’ He knows that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.


We can’t reach the Almighty. Hᴇ is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, ʜᴇ will not oppress.


I will sing of lovingkindness and justice. To you, YHWH, I will sing praises.


Nevertheless ʜᴇ saved them for ʜɪꜱ name’s sake, that ʜᴇ might make ʜɪꜱ mighty power known.


Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.


Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you.


They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power,


Be exalted, YHWH, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.


For ʜɪꜱ anger lasts only for a moment. Hɪꜱ favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.


I will be glad and rejoice in your lovingkindness, for you have seen my affliction. You have known my soul in adversities.


Your lovingkindness, YHWH, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.


Answer me when I call, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.


God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.


YHWH, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you and watch expectantly.


In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.


For your lovingkindness is great toward me. You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.


But to you, YHWH, I have cried. In the morning, my prayer comes before you.


I will sing of the lovingkindness of YHWH forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.


Your right hand, YHWH, is glorious in power. Your right hand, YHWH, dashes the enemy in pieces.


Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it! It will be the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he will be saved out of it.


and that the ethnic groups might glorify God for ʜɪꜱ mercy. As it is written, “Because of this I will publicly acknowledge you among the ethnic groups and play instruments to your name.”


Hᴇ delivered us from that terrible risk of death, and ʜᴇ will deliver us again. We have set our hope that ʜᴇ will continue to deliver us,


Now to ʜɪᴍ who is able to do superabundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,


In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and petitions with strong cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.


David said, “YHWH, who delivered me out of the paw from lion and from the paw of the bear, will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go! YHWH will be with you.”
